On Tuesday evening, December 15th, the school board voted to add High School to our program. Classes will be added one a year beginning with 9th Grade in the 2010-2011 year and ending with 12th Grade in the 2013-2014 year. Mr. Ttrekell has planned the transition this way so to have no impact on local taxes. Go Gators! See the Daily Sentinel news story by clicking here.
Mr. Trekell and the school board want to congratulate the students and staff on this year's outstanding TAKS scores. Etoile's passing rate for all TAKS tests for the 2008-2009 school year was 89.8%. See preliminary TAKS results for Nacogdoches County schools at the Daily Sentinel's webpage by clicking here.
Etoile is an Open Enrollment Campus, accepting transfer students with no fees, subject to the approval of the superintendent. For more details, call the school office at 465-9404.
The Superintendent's office is closely monitoring the Swine Flu situation and is in contact with the Nacogdoches County Health Department and Texas Education Agency. Information about steps we can all take to avoid the spread of viruses can be found here.
